Human Security means living daily life free from danger and threats of violence.
Can you imagine a world without fear?

Get in the know…

Human Security involves working to ensure people’s safety and the protection of their human rights. When countries promote human rights and conflict resolution they are taking steps towards long-term stability; they are creating an environment where people can live free form from fear.

Human Security is a very broad concept that includes civilian protection, government accountability, conflict prevention and public safety promotion. Armed conflict, conflict resolution, peace-building, child soldiers, human rights, and the International Criminal Court are all areas where Human Security plays an important role.

It is essential for governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), corporations and citizens, like us, to work together on a local, national and international level to promote and ensure long-term Human Security.

Human Security means keeping people safe. It involves many complex issues and will take the cooperation of people from around the world to achieve.
